Please take note that in order to ensure the best quality work we only take on a limited number of celebration and wedding cakes per week. We therefore kindly request that if you are interested in accepting our quote that you place your order as soon as possible to avoid the disappointment of your date being fully booked.
Please take note we require at least 48 hour notice on standard orders directly from the website, custom cake orders we require a minimum of a week lead time as well as a 50% deposit that is payable in order for your request to be processed on the date the invoice is sent to you.
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required in order to confirm the order. If this deposit is not received at least 4 days prior to your collection date your order will not be completed.
The balance outstanding is due upon collection and no cake will be released without full payment having been received.
If you wish to have alterations that affect the cost after the quote has been confirmed the balance will be adjusted accordingly.
Cancellation Policy and Refunds
The 50% deposit we require as confirmation of the order is non-refundable. Please note that we do not offer cash refunds and in the select circumstances where at the discretion of management a refund is given, this will take the form of an in-store credit.
In the case of a complaint, a cash refund will not be provided. The store undertakes to investigate each matter and where necessary provide a replacement cake or in-store voucher.
Cancellation of your order needs to be noted in writing in email form at least 4 days prior to collection date.
We will use the pictures you provide as design inspiration and will design your cake as close as possible to this design, however please bear in mind that we are not allowed to copy cakes outright, however we can assure you that the cakes will be spectacular and if there are specific design elements you cannot live without, please let us know.
please note that you are not able to transport a tiered naked cake as there is nothing holding the cake itself together, we would give you the cakes separately with dowels in them and you would need to have them stacked at the venue,
Please note that this excludes fresh flowers and fruit, we do not provide this, this will need to be added onto the cake at the venue by a florist, this is a quote just for the cake itself,
With regards to delivery, we as Tessa’s Bakery do offer a delivery service. Please keep in mind we outsource the delivery personnel. You are unable to make payment or stipulate delivery via our website as there is no option for delivery. Your request will need to be emailed to us (email@example.com)
Wedding consultations are done by appointment only, please call in to make an appointment with one of our lovely sales consultants on (021)551-6107.
Wedding consultations are limited to 1 hour only. A tasting box will be supplied if requested, this is at a cost of R150.00 and includes 6 of our basic cupcakes.
Once you have collected your cake please inspect it to ensure it is correct and that the brief was met.
The cake is to be transported on a flat surface under air-conditioning as icing can melt as well as the décor on the cake.
Please ensure your cake is refrigerated so as to keep its shape.
Keep your cake out of direct sunlight even when on display.

This information is purely for our internal use and this information will be kept in our data base to make ordering in the future easier. This information will not be sold to any third parties.
