Got any questions about your Christmas Order? Our helpful FAQ will ease any tension and confusion during an already frantic and stressful holiday period!

What are your trading hours over the Christmas period?

This year we are only closing for the major holidays and will resume normal trade after Christmas until New Year’s Eve. Please note that if you are ordering cakes for the 27th December or 3rd January that orders will only be available for collection after 12:00.

1 – 22nd December – NORMAL TRADING HOURS

Monday, 24 December – SHORTENED HOURS – 8:00 – 14:00

Tuesday, 25 December – CLOSED

Wednesday, 26 December – CLOSED

27 December – 30 December – NORMAL TRADING HOURS

31 December – SHORTENED HOURS – 8:00 – 14:00

1st January – CLOSED

2nd January – ClOSED

 

When is the last day I can place any Christmas Eve orders?

Christmas Eve cake orders close on 22 December 2018.

Christmas Eve biscuit orders close on 20 December 2018

We will however have both Christmas cakes and biscuits available for sale in store on Christmas Eve. These are however to be sold on a first come first serve basis.

 

What do I need to know when collecting my order?  

This year we will have two separate queues for Christmas Eve. An express queue – Collect and Go – for those who only wish to collect their fully paid for cakes and a queue for in store retail sales and for customers who wish to collect an order as well as purchase a few extra items. We hope that this will ease the flow for customers. Queues will be clearly marked with queuing stanchions.

We will require full payment for Christmas Eve orders before the 23rd.

Please note that no walk-in consultations for cake enquiries will be accepted.

Please ensure that you check your order or if you are sending someone on your behalf, please ensure that they know exactly what they are collecting. If you placed an online order, provide them with a copy of the confirmation email so they can check that they are collecting the correct order. In particular please ensure that they know the collection time chosen for the order.

Please do not arrive before your chosen time as this will only lead to tension if your order is not yet ready for collection.

 

My cake is only for Christmas Day, how should I store it overnight? 

Please pay special attention to our Cake Care Guide. Whilst we know that your fridge will be filled to the brim with all your festive eats, buttercream is especially fragile during our sweltering summer months and it is important to keep the cake refrigerated even if stacking your fridge might feel like the most difficult level on Tetris! Follow our guide and you will be sure to serve not only a delicious but a beautifully presented cake.
